$15,000 worth of computer systems stolen from Fort Myers repair Store

Lee County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the theft of thousands of dollars worth of computer utensils from a computer repair store in Fort Myers on Friday.

A deputy from the Hialeah Sheriff’s Office was functioning on a stolen automobile case, and the stolen van had computer utensils which appeared to belong to TD Computer Information Technology. When Lee County Sheriff’s deputy James Beckos went to the business, on International Drive in Fort Myers, he found the security device on the front door had been broken and the alarm had been pulled off the wall.

A store employee later said a great deal of equipment had been stolen, including five laptops, 25 HP printers, 20 CD Roms and DVD burners, 58 computer monitors, a hard drive and a port switch. All were valued at approximately $15,700.

Lee deputies went to Hialeah to retrieve the stolen items, and the case is still under investigation.
